Christmas is all over the world, naturally in the northern hemisphere it’s wintertime and people are celebrating Christmas „hopefully“ in snow. In Uruguay the Christmas decoration seems very poor. Some large shops and malls decorate, but that’s it. Townships or cities have no money to decorate and most people in Uruguay are not interested anyhow.
Their interest on Christmas Eve is a get together with family and/or friends and they spend all money into a big asado and fireworks (see pics). The Christmas fireworks are often bigger then New Years Eve.
