There are so many different ones, that I thought it might be
interesting for you to get some kind of a deeper look into it .

Where is the name from ?
„Hobby“ is English and refers to a children’s toy, the „hobby-horse“.
The German word for it is „Steckenpferd“. A „horse on a stick“. The
oldest known drawing is a wood engraving from 1542.

The oldest known hobby-horse, wood carved, is to see in the
St.Annen Museum in Luebeck, Germany and dates from 1509 !

What is a hobby ?
A hobby is a regular activity that is done for pleasure or for
relaxation, typically during one’s leisure time.

Wikipedia shows a list of hobbies. This list includes only
recognized hobbies that have been the subject of published
discussions or which have organized membership associations.

They list 66 Indoor hobbies and 77 Outdoor hobbies. In addition

I will try to find friends who are interested to talk about their
hobbies, why they like it and why they spend time and money for it.
If they agree, I am happy to post these information’s here.
